How will the virtual ceremonies work?
Students will be invited by email book through evision.
You'll be allocated to a ceremony date and time and notified of other actions to take in order to access the ceremony on the day.
All ceremonies will be accessible via web streaming from www.beds.ac.uk/graduationslive
The ceremony will be structured in a similar way to our previous graduation ceremonies and include a mix of pre-recorded and live content.
The event will be recorded to view later.
If you have any difficulties viewing the stream, please contact webcasting@iamagraduate.com
How will students be grouped for ceremonies?
Ceremonies will be organised in portfolio/cognate groups.
Students will be put in virtual rooms of about 25 people in presentation order so, in most cases, with others from your course.
Do we need to wear academic dress?
Staff and students attending will be asked to wear formal dress but academic dress will not be required.
Our gown supplier has put on an offer for the Class of 2021 to have the complete outfit sent to a UK address and 50% off the next hire.
We will be passing this information on to students to allow them to make this choice.
Will faculty attend?
Yes, members of the faculty will be present at the event and watching online.
What about guests?
All family and friends will be able to access the live web stream www.beds.ac.uk/graduationslive
We are hoping those who are attending will share their pictures on the day on social media, so the University celebrate further successes online.
What about transcripts and certificates?
You can expect to receive your transcript from us once your award has been confirmed.
Certificates will follow separately after the virtual ceremonies in September.
